Ashley was two months premature and weighed 2 pounds, 8 inches. In ICU she stayed for the whole month. Then, on Christmas Day, her parents learned that she would need heart surgery. Christmas Day brought answers to her prayers after doctors informed her parents she was born with an open heart. Ashley didn't need to undergo any surgeries. After 2 months in the hospital, she was released with 4 half pounds. Since then, she's healthy! Her father is of English as well as German descent. Her mother is from Ireland. In 2002, Ashley first made an appearance as a model in an ad for the Salon Surprise Barbie Doll. Ashley was first approached by the Ford Modeling Agency when she turned eight. She worked steadily in print and remains with the Agency. As early as 10 She decided acting was her passion. Ashley began her career with 35 commercials and moved on into theatre roles. Ashley currently has a love for acting. Ashley was able to focus all her energy on acting. It left little time for modelling as well as dancing. Ashley's last role on ABC Family Pretty Little Liars was as "Hanna Marin". Ashley was as well in Romeo Miller's video (aka Lil Romeo), along with Solange's track"True Love. Ashley also shot a photo alongside Britney Spears for Vogue Magazine. The NLT music video for "That Girl", she is featured.
